Gli MTV EMA 2020 sono stati diversi da tutti quelli visti fino ad oggi, ma una cosa è rimasta la stessa: i tuoi artisti preferiti hanno vinto ALLA GRANDE grazie a te!
I BTS hanno portato a casa il maggior numero di premi della serata con quattro vittorie agli EMA: "Best Song", "Best Group", "Best Virtual Live" e "Biggest Fans". Karol G ha vinto il primo "Best Latin" EMA e ha ottenuto "Best Collaboration" per "Tusa" con Nicki Minaj. Lady Gaga è stata incoronata "Miglior artista" dell'anno e DJ Khaled ha accettato gli EMA come "Miglior video" per la sua iconica "Popstar" con Drake e Justin Bieber.
E quest'anno, l '"MTV EMA Generation Change Award" è stato assegnato a cinque donne fenomenali che hanno dedicato il loro tempo, energia e talenti agli sforzi di giustizia sociale e razziale in tutto il mondo: Kiki Mordi, giornalista investigativo che lavora per porre fine alla SARS in Nigeria; Temi Mwale, un attivista per la giustizia razziale nel Regno Unito; Catherhea Potjanaporn, una fotografa ritrattista che combatte il razzismo in Malesia; Luiza Brasil, giornalista di moda in Brasile; e Raquel Willis, uno scrittore e attivista transgender nero negli Stati Uniti.
