HALSEY, ROSALÍA, BECKY G, AKON, AVA MAX AND MABEL WILL PERFORM AT THE 2019 MTV EMA
We are kicking off the 2019 MTV EMA performer announcements and so far the lineup high key SLAYS! We'll be hearing from multi-platinum artist Halsey, Spanish sensation Rosalía, internationally renowned singer/actress and EMA show host Becky G, global superstar Akon, pop phenomenon Ava Max, as well as "Best New" and "Best Push" nominee Mabel along with the already announced Green Day at this year's show. We cannot believe we are going to see these six amazing artists in the same room!
We saw Halsey perform "Without Me" at the 2018 EMA, and we already know her 2019 performance will no doubt be once again iconic. You may have already heard Halsey's new single "Graveyard," a sneak peek from her upcoming album Manic which will be released on January 17, 2020 on Capitol Records. She has three EMA nods this year: "Best Collaboration," "Best Pop" and "Best Look."
Rosalía will also return to the stage this year, this time with four nominations: "Best Video," "Best Collaboration," "Best Look" and "Best Push." Rosalía's EMA appearance affirms her quick ascent to global stardom, following her first two MTV VMA Awards and the releases of her recent single "Yo x Ti, Tu x Mi" with Ozuna and frequent "Song of the Summer" pick "Con Altura" with J Balvin and featuring El Guincho.
Akon will be joining our fabulous host Becky G on stage as they perform "Como No" from Akon's first Spanish-Language album El Negreeto which debuted as the No. 1 album on the Latin charts. Along with hosting AND performing, Becky G has a nod for "Best Pop" at this year's show. We cannot wait to hear the tracks on her highly anticipated first album Mala Santa!
The 2019 MTV EMA marks Becky G, Ava Max and Mabel's EMA stage debuts. Eek! The nerves must be real, but we know these three artists are going to rock it on stage! Ava Max's EMA performance comes at the heels of MTV's premiere of the epic music video for "Torn," her latest dance-pop single. British pop sensation Mabel will be performing her global smash "Don't Call Me Up", from her debut studio album High Expectations. These two "Best Push" and "Best New" nominees are comin' in HOT to the EMA celebration!
